How to Shop on the LEGO® Website for 15% Less?
This method is probably not known to everyone, so in this short guide I will describe how to get up to 15% cashback when shopping through the official LEGO® website. It also works with other online stores ;) You have probably heard the word somewhere: cashback.
What is it?
A refund of part of the money from purchases made in an online store.
How does it work?
There are intermediaries in the form of websites that cooperate with many online stores. If you shop through their link, they get a commission and share part of it with you. Everything works automatically. In practice, you can save a decent percentage when buying online on the LEGO site or others, for example Media Expert, empik, and so on.
Okay, so where is the 15%?
Picodi.com offers this kind of cashback on the first purchase made through their link, but only up to 100 PLN. So if you shop on the official site for 670 PLN, you receive a 100 PLN refund. If you hit double VIP points and some gifts, it becomes a pretty nice combo.
Ah, so it only works once?
Not exactly. Later they offer standard cashback, and the rates can change. Usually it is 1.8%, but recently there was a situation where they increased it to 4.8% and briefly even 6%. It is worth keeping an eye on, because higher rates usually line up with holiday shopping.
That is not all, though. Last year on Black Friday, letyshops.com launched a 15% refund, and the maximum amount was around 250 PLN! It is worth waiting for opportunities like that if you are hunting for exclusive sets. Day to day, though, I recommend Picodi, because they have better refunds than letyshops. Sometimes you can also catch a code for a free set.
How do you shop with cashback?
- Go to lego.com and add the products you want to your cart.
- Turn off your ad blocker if you have one active in your browser.
- Go to picodi.com, log in or register.
- Using Picodi’s search, find the LEGO® store and activate cashback by clicking what you see in the photo.
If everything went well, the transaction should be visible on the site within 48 hours and you will get an email. If not, you can file a complaint. This happened to me once and, after I provided proof of purchase in the form of screenshots, the cashback was granted.
You have to wait a bit for cashback money, usually about a month. The minimum payout amount is 21 PLN.
Summary
This method also works in other stores (even Allegro) and not only for LEGO® bricks. It is worth using, because it is always a few extra zlotys you can spend on more bricks :D
If you liked the guide, I recommend registering on Picodi through my link. You get 10 PLN to start.
